Doctor Gys Roux
About
Dr Gys graduated in 1976 with his MB.Ch.B from Stellenbosch. From 1980 – 1983 Dr Gys worked as the Registrar in Department of Family Medicine at Medunsa. He then moved to KZN where he was the Senior Medical Officer at Manguzi Hospital. In 1985, he become the Medical Superintendent which also involved delivering primary healthcare to the Manguzi Hospital catchment area.
In 1987 he returned to PE to start in Private Practice
Main interests are surgical procedures such as excisions, removal of ingrown toenails, etc
He specialises in vasectomies under local anaesthetic. Dr. Gys works part-time. He works Monday - Thursday afternoons doing specialised procedures.
